Chumpi Belts
Woven from the Heart of the Andes
These sacred Chumpi belts originate from Peru, woven in the community of Pachanta at the foot of Apu Ausangate, where alpacas roam freely across the high Andean landscape.

The wool is hand-shorn, hand-spun, washed, dyed, and woven by the women, men, and elders of the community using traditional back-strap looms. Each belt carries stories of lineage and is crafted from start to finish with deep intention and love.

Chumpi literally means belt — and these belts do far more than adorn the body. They create a powerful energetic field of protection around what is known as the Qosco — the energetic centre of the body, located in and around the solar plexus and womb space. The Qosco is our seat of inner power, and the Chumpi acts as a strong energetic filter, offering protection from energies arriving from people, situations, or the wider collective field.

These belts are especially supportive for those working in ceremonial arts and facilitation, and for sensitive souls who are prone to absorbing heavy energies. They are particularly potent for women during their moon cycle, when the energetic field is naturally more open and receptive.

Physically, they also protect and support the kidneys and adrenals — shielding the body at every level: physical, emotional, psychological, and energetic.

Beautiful to wear. Powerful to carry.
